GoDaddy.com announced today that the company is now the 2nd largest domain registrar in the world. According to RegistrarSTATS.com, an independent firm which compiles and reports total worldwide registration of .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and .us domain names, GoDaddy.com now has more than 3.9 million domains under registration, surpassing its nearest competitor by more than 150,000 domains.

GoDaddy.com has been the fastest growing domain name registrar for over two years, rising from No. 48 in 2000 to its current position of No. 2 today. Go Daddy is the flagship company of The Go Daddy Group, Inc., which currently operates three ICANN-accredited registrars. In total, The Go Daddy Group companies have over 4.7 million domain names under management.
