The Go Daddy Group, Inc., parent company of GoDaddy.com, the No. 1 registrar of domain names, announced today that it now offers its customers an intuitive user control panel that makes it easy to manage domain name system (DNS) records.
Available at no additional cost, the new, managed DNS control panel will support both Go Daddy customers and non-Go Daddy customers, and provide a reliable DNS management service for gTLDs (such as .com, .net, .org) and ccTLDs (such as .tv, .de, and .jp). The intuitive user interface offers detailed help options, including basic and advanced modes, which support customers in managing their hostnames, aliases, mail records (including Sender Policy Framework/Sender ID records) and Whois records.
“Every domain name, web site address, and email address on the Internet requires DNS in order to work,” says Bob Parsons, president and founder of The Go Daddy Group, recently ranked the fastest growing technology company (#8 overall) on the Inc. 500 List of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies. “Go Daddy has put domain owners firmly in the driver’s seat with a powerful, yet easy-to-use DNS management tool situated on a reliable, dispersed network of servers.”
The managed DNS application also supports seamless integration with the large array of Go Daddy products, such as hosting, email, and Quick Shopping Cart (a tool whereby users quickly build and publish an on-line store). As a result of this seamless integration, Go Daddy’s applications are cohesive, as well as easy to use and understand.
“Go Daddy created the managed DNS application in direct response to customer demand,” adds Parsons. “It is yet another giant step forward by Go Daddy in decreasing the complexity of the Internet by tempering it with intuitive applications.”
