San Francisco, California - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - October 4, 2007 - The E-Commerce Conference and Expo, debuts in San Francisco through October 5th, featuring 100 industry experts at the Moscone Center West Hall.
The first event to address issues spanning the entire e-commerce lifecycle, attendees from all business disciplines will learn about and discuss the critical issues and trends that are suddenly changing global online markets. Online Market World will feature more than 100 industry experts addressing 50 sessions combined with nearly 50 exhibitors ranging from eBay to the United States Postal Service.
Two general sessions kick off each day of the conference. The Future of E-Commerce at 8:30am on October 4th presents expert opinions about the hype vs. reality of future technologies and how they may affect the three to five year outlook. Panelists include: Joe Chung, CEO, Allurent; Doug Mack, VP of Creative Solutions, Adobe; Michael Hines, VP of E-Commerce Strategy and Design, Jones Apparel Group. The Friday October 5th session at 8:30am is ‘Searching for the Silver Bullet,’ which tackles the question of whether or not silver bullets really exist and if so what are they? If not, what’s the best way to assess new technologies and techniques and how should you allocate budget? Panelists include: Scot Wingo, CEO, ChannelAdvisor; Mary O’Brien, President, PPC Summit; Jim Sterne, Principal, Target Marketing; and Matt Boyd, SVP, ValueClick Media.
Other speakers include: Michael Caruso, CEO of ClickFacts has started 14 companies and he’s not even 40 yet. He’ll address click fraud. Keith Maddox, CEO of SiteAcuity sold his last company for $18M. He’ll look at customer experience in a new light. Allurent CEO Joe Chung started ATG. He’ll cover the future of e-commerce and customer experience in the mainstream view. Brett Hurt, CEO of BazaarVoice, also founded Coremetrics — a web analytics company. He’ll delve into word of mouth marketing. Jeremy Hanks is on the Inc. Magazine Fastest Growing Company List of private companies, ranked 26 of 500 based on 3,202 percent growth over three years. He’ll talk about sourcing, Bruce Carlisle, CEO of Digital Axle, believes it’s about numbers not just pretty pictures and snappy copy. He’ll take a look at the future of advertising. Jasmine Lawrence is a 15 year-old CEO who two years ago created a line of natural hair products. Now Wal-Mart carries her products and she’s been on Oprah. She’ll talk about packaging. Scott Sigler was an unpublished fiction author so he started doing podcasts. He just landed a book and movie deals. He’ll cover word of mouth marketing.
