Scottsdale, Arizona - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - Web hosting company and domain registrar, GoDaddy.com, achieved the largest organic growth in active sites of any web hosting company in the world during 2005, according to recently released research.

According to web services research firm Netcraft, GoDaddy.com saw an increase of 140 percent in the number of active sites hosted from January 1, 2005, to December 31, 2005. More than 530,000 new active sites were hosted on the Go Daddy servers during the year.

Going into 2006, GoDaddy.com’s active sites exceeded 1 million, according to the Netcraft Hosting Analysis. GoDaddy.com attributes much of the growth to the interaction between Go Daddy’s engineering staff and the company’s customers, as well as a 24/7 commitment to serious support.

According to Bob Parsons, GoDaddy.com Founder and President, ”No one knows more about what the customer needs than the customer. By listening to their feedback, we are able to make better products. By staffing our support and development teams in house, we are able to make improvements quickly.”

Mike Prettejohn, Director of Netcraft added, ”GoDaddy.com saw tremendous growth in 2005, and all of it organic. Over the last five years Go Daddy has engineered a deep rooted position in the hosting arena, whereby their large and growing customer base in domain registration gives them the opportunity to really harvest revenue from each incremental service that they develop.”
