Scottsdale, Arizona - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - April 22, 2008 - Web hosting domain registrar, Go Daddy’s representative, Danica Patrick, has become the first woman in history, to win an IndyCar Series race.

Ms. Patrick took the checkered flag at the Japan 300 in Motegi, near Tokyo, in dramatic fashion, finishing more than five seconds ahead of pole-sitter Helio Castroveves after taking the lead with three laps to go. Shortly after leaving the winner’s circle Patrick went online with GoDaddy.com and blogged about her historic victory.

Ms. Patrick explained, ”It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to win. It’s unbelievable. I have worked so hard, for so long, to reach this point. I’m sure it’s going to take a little while for it to sink in.”

Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons never had any doubt about her place in the record books, noting, ”For us, there was never a question of IF Danica could win - we’ve believed in her from day one. She thrives on competition, speed and power. She’s a true competitor.”

Mr. Parsons zeroed in on Patrick’s potential in 2006, when he made her a ”Go Daddy Girl” by signing her as a company spokeswoman. Since then, Patrick has gone on to star in Go Daddy’s revenue generating 2007 and 2008 Super Bowl ads and has been voted IndyCar’s most popular driver.

Mr. Parsons added, ”Go Daddy recognizes Danica as an innovator who is now a part of sports history. We are so happy for her, her team and her whole family.”

Ms. Patrick is a representative for Go Daddy’s products, and her official web site, DanicaRacing.com, is registered and hosted through Go Daddy, allowing her to keep in touch with her fans and the rest of the racing world - no matter how fast she’s moving. Fans can also read more about Patrick’s historic victory by visiting her Go Daddy blog.

This is the Go Daddy Girl’s fourth IndyCar season and her big win came in her 50th IndyCar event. Last year, she finished the season 7th overall and was runner-up in the Detroit race. She made history in 2005 when she scored the best finish by a woman at the Indy 500 and was voted the league’s Rookie of the Year.
