Budget hosting provider Host Color (hostcolor.com ) announced on Monday it has added SSH access to its Mega Pack hosting plan.

The company now also offers crontab entries as a part of the Mega service, which enables webmasters to instantly update their sites with sets of scripts that execute at a given time. To promote its new services, the company has introduced the Mega and Max plans, which automatically include two free months of hosting with each new account signed.

Host Color says it is targeting the business class market with the recent upgrade of its servers and network, as well as its new Next Color control panel. The company will introduce a new business hosting service at the end of the month. Meanwhile, all customers’ accounts have been moved to its new data center in South Bend, Indiana.

“We will offer a new type of business service which will attract customers not only with higher capacity but also by blending unique features - SSH access, custom Perl and Python scripts to name a few,”says Vesellin Drangajov, executive director of Host Color. “We will also consider including JSP and Servlets capabilities. To achieve all this we will first listen carefully to our customer’s needs.”

Last month, Host Color introduced personalized Secure Shell access as a part of its Next Color hosting software, enabling administrators to connect directly to the servers and update their files.
