San Mateo, California - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - November 1, 2005 - Local classifieds search engine company, Oodle, has expanded into 23 new markets. With this expansion, Oodle now provides service to 49 metro areas, supporting more than 50 percent of the U.S. population.

The new areas served include Austin, Baltimore, Charlotte, Columbia, El Paso, Fort Meyers, Greensboro, Hartford, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Memphis, Nashville, Norfolk, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Providence, Raleigh, Rochester, Salt Lake City, Tucson, Tallahassee, Tampa and West Palm Beach.

Oodle’s search index now has over 4.5 million listings from thousands of sources. For consumers with limited time, Oodle also makes it easy to find the best deals using a special Oodle Alerts feature. Users simply set up an Alert and Oodle emails them the minute the item they’re looking for is available. With Oodle, consumers can quickly search the largest number of online listings in their area, whether they are looking for an apartment, car or pet.

According to Randy White, an Oodle user from Harwood Heights, Illinois, ”Oodle is just great. I can’t stop using it. It makes searching for just about anything incredibly easy. In the few days since I discovered Oodle, I passed the word around and everyone seems equally impressed.”

Oodle continues to rapidly add sources to its index, ranging from big sites to smaller community sources like local newspapers and specialized national sites such as Mykidscloset and TruckerToTrucker.com. Classified publishers welcome the exposure that Oodle gives their advertisers. Oodle’s traffic has more than doubled in the last quarter.

Tim Fagan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Apartments.com explains Oodle’s benefits, ”Oodle sends qualified renters to our site. This creates additional visibility for Apartments.com and is good for our advertisers.”
