TRLY), the global Internet Group, today announced its Lycos Side Search as the
perfect shopping second opinion search tool for busy consumers this holiday
season. Lycos Side Search Shopping results (http://sidesearch.lycos.com/) let
users save time and money allowing them to compare prices from thousands of
trusted stores, review consumer store ratings and find bargains among millions
of products available online.
Lycos Side Search provides a second opinion every time a user performs an
Internet search or shopping search and eliminates the need to visit multiple
sites in order to compare products and pricing for busy holiday shoppers.
Users can easily install Side Search from the Lycos home page
(http://install.sidesearch.lycos.com/install/). Once installed, Side Search
automatically presents highly relevant comparative shopping and Web search
results in a separate browser side panel, without losing the initial search
results on the main browser window, allowing users to immediately compare
results from a number of competitive sources.
A search for DVD Players on any of the major search engines, for example,
provides listings from the initial search, as well as second opinion product
results from Lycos Side Search, giving users immediate access to hundreds of
price comparisons, product reviews and ratings for thousands of products.
When users select a search result from Lycos Side Search, the main browser
displays that page.
