Under the terms of the contract, NaviSite is providing fully-managed Exchange 2003 mailboxes for Changepond’s 300 users. The service, hosted in NaviSite’s Houston data center, provides full Exchange 2003 functionality to Changepond’s employees, whether they are accessing their mail and calendars through the Outlook client or Outlook Web Access. The solution has been implemented and is currently in operation.

Before moving to NaviSite’s hosted Exchange 2003 service, Changepond had relied on an internally-managed email system.  However, Changepond wanted to improve reliability and reduce the management burden of its in-house solution.

NaviSite’s Hosted Exchange 2003 services provide turnkey access to Exchange infrastructure for a fixed monthly fee. Delivered from NaviSite’s data centers, Hosted Exchange 2003 provides users with a higher quality of service while reducing the ongoing costs of Exchange messaging. A variety of service tiers are available to meet a customer’s needs, from fully functional Exchange mailboxes to single sign-on, application integration, redundant architecture, and more. NaviSite also offers optional value-add services for Hosted Exchange 2003 such as spam filtering, instant messaging, and online collaboration tools.
