Berkeley, California - (via THE HOSTING NEWS) - July 28, 2005 - DomainMart, a leading provider of analytical and quantitative services for the domain-name industry, announced today the beta testing of a proprietary technology that imbeds in an email, advertising of products and services related to the recipient’s domain name.

Unlike Google’s service of embedding ads based on an e-mail’s content, DomainMart uses a proprietary database that relates a domain name to a product classification. In addition to an embedded ad, DomainMart includes its CallVendor Link technology, which allows an email recipient to call, for free, the appropriate contact number of the email sender.

The advantage of the email service is three fold:

(1) It overcomes privacy concerns by email senders, as their private emails, unlike with Google’s Gmail, remain private;

(2) The recipient’s domain name is analyzed to determine the country destination. This feature increases an ad’s conversion rate, reduces advertisers’ cost, and diminishes the frustration of a recipient clicking on an irrelevant link; and

(3) The CallVendor Link benefits the recipient, as it reduces search cost for a contact number and provides free, convenient dialing.

Alex Tajirian, DomainMart CEO had the following comments regarding the new service, ”People are uncomfortable with their email being read by strangers, even if that stranger is a robot. Combining the email service with our CallVendor technology benefits the recipient in additional ways by reducing the hassle of finding and dialing the correct contact number, which can be easily stored for future use in a user’s email software such as Outlook.

DomainMart, which was founded in 1996, plans to license the technology to email service providers.
