Web hosting provider Lunarpages (lunarpages.com)announced on Tuesday that it had launched domain registration for the.biz, .info, .us, and .name extensions and introduced a “Web sitetransfer service” that enables customers to transfer to Lunarpages.

Lunarpagespreviously offered domain registration only for the .com, .net and .orgextensions. The new transfer service is available free for the next 30days, after which a fee will be charged based on the size andcomplexity of the Web site.

The company says it will providecustomer and technical support during the transfer process. Lunarpageswill manage the technical details and complete the site transfer within24 hours, regardless of the site’s size.

“New TLDs provide moreoptions and flexibility to both new and existing customers as they cannow personalize their sites and select among a wider range of availabledomain names,” says Ron Riddle, chief executive officer and co-founderof Lunarpages. “By offering a 30-day free trial, we want to let usersexperience how easy it is to transfer a site, of any size, to be hostedthrough Lunarpages. After all, Web users should be spending their timebuilding their online presence rather then worrying about the technicaldetails of Web hosting.”
