New York, New York - (via THE HOSTING NEWS) - July 27, 2005 - Register.com, Inc. has announced that its board of directors has extended the company’s employment agreement with David L. Moore, the Company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer.

According to Mitchell I. Quain, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Register.com, ”David’s leadership has been beneficial as we seek to maximize shareholder value by considering the strategic alternatives available to the Company. We are very pleased that he has agreed continue in his role as Interim CEO.”

”I am pleased to continue leading Register.com as we go through the process of considering strategic alternatives,” said Mr. Moore. ”I am focused on creating efficiencies in the business during this transitional time.”

According to Register.com - David L. Moore joined Register.com as Interim Chief Executive Officer in June 2005. Mr. Moore is also Chairman of Sonostar Ventures, LLC, a private equity/venture capital firm, which he co-founded in 1997, and Chairman of Garden State Exterior Remodeling, one of the largest remodeling firms in the United States.

Previously, Mr. Moore served as a member of the Board of Directors of Marketwatch.com from May 2004 until January 2005, when the Company was acquired by Dow Jones. Until early 2004, he was Vice Chairman of Marquis Jet, Inc., an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway’s NetJets. Over the past 10 years he has served on the Boards of ten different companies including Bolle Sunglasses and Lumen Technologies.

Mr. Moore received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Amherst College in 1978 and an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1980.

Register.com is continuing its search for a permanent CEO. Mr. Moore’s amended agreement may be terminated by the company or Mr. Moore on 30 days’ prior notice. Further details about the agreement are available in the Form 8-K filed by the company today.
