Santa Clara, California - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - May 8, 2006 - Creator and advocate of Java technology firm, Sun Microsystems, Inc. will host the Horizons 2006 Summit in San Francisco, May 16-18, 2006, the first conference since Sun acquired SeeBeyond in June 2005.

An adjunct to the JavaONE 2006 conference, the summit is a continuation of the annual SeeBeyond Horizons event for IT systems architects and business executives interested in leveraging their existing IT systems and building new IT projects quickly and cost-effectively using business integration technologies and service-oriented architectures (SOAs).

This year, the Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (CAPS) will debut at Horizons. Java CAPS is a leading platform for developing service oriented architectures that improve business integration and agility. It is the first product that combines the former SeeBeyond ICAN Suite with Sun’s integration and communications software. Also new this year, the conference session includes a track on Sun Java(TM) Enterprise System software-including Sun Java(TM) System Portal Server and Sun Java(TM) System Identity Manager.

The Horizons 2006 Summit features three days of 45 sessions, including:

— A behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge business integration projects
– SOA pioneers who have implemented leading solutions using Sun technology
– Insider tips and answers to your toughest SOA and Web services technical questions

Joe Keller, Vice President of Marketing, SOA and Integration Platforms, for Sun explained, ”For more than a decade, customers have returned to Horizons year after year because they receive invaluable information to help them get the most from their business integration initiatives. We have seen tremendous customer momentum since the SeeBeyond acquisition and we expect this to be our best Horizons so far, packed with more sessions, more success stories and more business results than ever.”

Sun Java Enterprise System is an open, standards-based, multi-platform software system that delivers a core set of value-based services with a simple, predictable approach. Java Enterprise System provides the integrated infrastructure software to provide digital identities with secure web services, a scalable communications environment and a highly available system. The entire Sun Java Enterprise System is available until June 30 for a promotional subscription price of $150 per employee per year with the new Java Composite Applications Platform Suite including Sun’s business integration software.

The JavaOne Conference is for Java technology developers, established in 1996. The conference provides Java technology professionals the opportunity to learn about the latest Java technology innovations, get hands-on experience with the technology, network with their peers and have the opportunity to network directly with technology experts from Java technology industry leaders.
