Web Host, FatCow, Releases Web Hosting Survey Results

Albuquerque, New Mexico - (Cheap Hosting Directory) - September 16, 2005 -Web hosting provider, FatCow, has announced key findings from its annual “iSay Survey” and the winner of its laptop computer giveaway.

Customers responded to offer feedback on FatCow’s hosting services while entering to win a Dell or Mac laptop. Winning the computer is Jack Byers, a professional photographer, whose web site (www.jackbyers.com) has been hosted with FatCow for more than a year and a half.

“FatCow made my month and then some,” said Mr. Byers. “FatCow rules - not just because they gave me an iBook but because, when I need help, they’re there for me.”

FatCow’s “Moo Crew” - its customer support team - received top marks among survey respondents: 98.8% of those surveyed rated FatCow significantly better than or commensurate with other web hosts when it comes to “friendly and knowledgeable support agents.”

Other findings include:

· More than half of those surveyed have hosted a site with FatCow for three or more years.
· More than two thirds of respondents spent at least 3 days researching hosting providers before selecting FatCow.
· The three most common ways customers learned about FatCow were through trusted referrals, search engines and industry magazines.
· Customers cited reliability/uptime as the most critical factor when determining a web host. The next most important was security, followed by support and ease of use.
· More than half of those surveyed chose FatCow based on the advice of a trusted friend or business associate.
· 99.6% of those who have referred others to FatCow in the past say they would still do so today.
· 92% of respondents are fully satisfied with their current service level. FatCow has maintained this remarkable level of satisfaction over the past three years.

Peter Ziesmann, FatCow’s Marketing and Advertising Director commented on the survey results, “As we continue to grow, it’s comforting to know that word-of-mouth and personal referrals remain integral to our growth. It creates a unique incentive for FatCow to live up to its customer-friendly reputation every day, with every call we answer and every e-mail we respond to. We know our growth depends primarily on one thing - satisfying our customers.”

FatCow currently provides hosting services to more than 34,000 customers.

Survey respondents also offered suggestions for improvement and requested additional features.

“Our annual survey is an essential tool for direct feedback from our customers,” added Ziesmann. “Every year, it gives us a roadmap for continued improvement. Based on this year’s responses, we have begun the process of developing and deploying new, more innovative e-mail functionality, in tandem with self-service consumer and business marketing tools.”
