Search Engine LookSmart Sets Fourth Quarter Earnings Date

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — LookSmart
(Nasdaq: LOOK, ASX: LOK), a leader in search, will report financial results
for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2003 on Thursday,
February 5, 2004. The Company will issue a press release announcing its
results after the market close and will host a conference call at 5:00 pm ET
(9:00 a.m. Australian ET, February 6, 2004).

"As stated in our filings with the SEC, we have begun the process of
transitioning the Company for operations following the end of our distribution
agreement with MSN on January 15, 2004. We plan to provide an update on the
progress of our bid for placement initiative, as well as our overall strategic
plan of operations on our scheduled fourth quarter conference call," said
