Range Online Media Acquires ZenHits, Opens New York Office; Acquisition Expands Company’s Natural Search Optimization Capabilities

FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ — Range Online Media, a privately
held, Fort Worth-based interactive marketing agency, has acquired New York-
based search engine optimization firm ZenHits. The acquisition of ZenHits
expands Range’s existing expertise in natural search optimization, a strategy
involving content, design and programming to position a Web site on search
engines for relevant keywords.

As part of the agreement, Range assumes control of the ZenHits portfolio,
which includes such clients as: Toshiba America Inc., Epson Corp.,
Homestore.com and Courtroom Television, LLC. ZenHits president, Anthony
Muller, 29, joins the Range staff as director of natural search operations and
will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Range’s newly established New
York City office. Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

"Today is a landmark day for Range Online Media. This acquisition
underscores our company’s established position in a critical and influential
media market," said Cheryle Pingel, chairman and co-founder for Range Online
Media. "Additionally, bringing ZenHits into the fold of Range increases our
knowledge and expertise in natural search optimization. We have admired Mr.
Muller’s work within our industry for a long time. We believe that by
aligning our mutual strengths we can capitalize on the enormous power of
search marketing, which is delivering high-yield results to major retailers
across every sector."

While with ZenHits, Muller positioned more than 400 clients in various
industries on top of the results from major search engines. He is a proponent
of high ethics within the search engine marketing and optimization industry,
and he devotes a large amount of time and energy furthering its integrity.
This activity has positioned him as a leader in the industry. Mr. Muller has
been a frequent speaker at search engine marketing seminars, as well as led
the original creative efforts for the MarketingSherpa.

The Impact

To summarize the impact of the online search industry, U.S. Bancorp Piper
Jaffray’s senior analyst, Safa Rashtchy, added in his report The Golden Search
that the industry represents a major growth market, which he expects will
reach nearly $7 billion in worldwide revenues by 2007. In addition, he
believes the key driver of growth is "the increased popularity of search as
the most efficient way to find products and information, and simultaneously
the rise of search as the best way for advertisers to find and acquire
customers."

Rashtchy’s statement mirrors the overall results that Range’s clients
receive from its services. For example, Monica Bradburn, media planner for
Travelocity, noted, "Range has provided the expertise in the search area that
is missing from larger interactive agencies. Since partnering with Range, our
conversion rates have tripled, bringing in a much higher return on investment.
Travelocity’s experience with the agency has led to overall growth in share of
search results across the Internet."
