Bruce Allenbaugh, Chief Marketing Officer of InfoSpace noted, ”This partnership is a great extension of the Dogpile brand. By working closely with Petfinder to introduce Dogpile’s search experience and our pet-affinity to their pet-loving audience we’ll encourage cross-traffic between the Dogpile and Petfinder sites.”
InfoSpace’s flagship search site Dogpile.com will be prominently featured on the Petfinder web site, exposing Petfinder’s millions of visitors to the Dogpile brand and its metasearch technology. Dogpile and Petfinder will also jointly produce and promote widgets and toolbars which will increase awareness of and drive traffic to Dogpile.com, as well as promote Petfinder’s pet-related content and encourage the adoption of more than 250,000 adoptable pets within the extended Petfinder network of 11,000 local shelters.
