Search Engine Releases Local Traffic Estimator Tool for Advertisers

San Francisco, California - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - May 5, 2006 - Local search engine company, TrueLocal, specializing in driving online sales to offline businesses, has released its Local Traffic Estimator.
The tool is designed to aggregate and show users traffic statistics on TrueLocal. Potential advertisers can type in a zip code and a search term and receive information about TrueLocal traffic from the previous month.
TrueLocal.com is a search engine that specializes in providing users with search results for local brick and mortar businesses.
Using their ”ground to web” patent pending search technology, TrueLocal.com endeavors to find brick and mortar businesses in local communities and give them a web presence. By providing local search options, users are able to go to TrueLocal.com and search for products and services available to them within their local community. Only local businesses with an actual storefront are listed, providing the user with quick access to find the product or service they are seeking.

According to the company, the estimator provides such information as map clicks, or listing views, in relation to the most popular categories and nearest zip codes to the searched term and location. For example, a user can type in shoes in 60612 and the local traffic estimator determines the three most popular categories for this search and the five nearest zip codes to 60612. This allows businesses to accurately assess which categories and zip for which they should bid.
Potential advertisers also can see statistics for other features of the TrueTarget advertising program. For example: the number of times a TrueTarget or expanded listing was clicked in the last month, how many website clicks, driving direction requests, coupon clicks and phone calls made in the last month.
TrueLocal recently launched its search tool offering full text searches without cluttered results. TrueLocal takes franchise and business data and indexes only ‘physical’ storefront businesses to offer more relevant and accurate local business results.
