Beijing - (The Hosting News) - March 7, 2006 - Analysys International, an Internet based provider of business information about technology, new media and telecom industries (TMT) says the search engine market will have the highest investment value in China’s TMT industries in the coming three years. Analysys International’s research report: Investment Value Rating of Top 10 Hot Fields in China’s TMT Industries indicates that the search engine sector exceeds other hot sectors including online gaming, mobile gaming, IM, etc. both on industrial investment value and venture capital investment value.

Also according to the report, industrial investment value favored by strategic investment institutions and secondary market investors, includes search engine, online gaming, IM, mobile gaming, wireless music, Blog, IC design, mobile payment, IPTV to TV, and software outsourcing. Favored venture capital investment value includes search engine, mobile gaming, wireless music, Blog,online gaming, IC design, mobile payment, IM, IPTV to TV, and software outsourcing.

Li Jing, Analysys International Analyst commented, ”IM, IPTV to TV and software outsourcing have higher investment risk than investment value to venture capitals in the coming three years. But in a long-term point of view, we are optimistic about the IPTV industry in China.”

Analysys International says that China’s online gaming industry shows investment potential, but the industry faces convergence, which lowers its venture capital investment value. With the issuing of 3G licenses in China, investment value of mobile gaming, wireless music, mobile payment and blogs will increase, among which mobile gaming, wireless music and blogs will become the fastest developing sectors in the coming three years.

Analysys International also indicated that the IM sector has low venture capital investment value because of lack of business model innovation. With the development of auto industry and consumer electronics in China, IC design sector will become
a new star to venture capitals in semiconductor industry and also has long-term investment value.
