VeriSign Domain Management Firm, Elects Founder, to Board of Directors

Mountain View, California - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - August 31, 2007 - Internet domain manager and support system firm, VeriSign’s Board of Directors, has elected its Founder, President and CEO, D. James Bidzos, as Chairman, after Edward Mueller resigned.

Mr. Bidzos will replace Edward A. Mueller, who became VeriSign chairman in May. Mr. Mueller stepped down after being named Chairman and Chief Executive of Qwest Communications International last week. He has been a member of the VeriSign board since March 2005.

VeriSign shares rose 71 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $30.51.

VeriSign, Inc. operates a digital infrastructure, designed to enable and protect billions of interactions across the world’s voice and data networks. As many as 31 billion Internet interactions and over 100 million phone calls are supported daily.
