Apptix(TM), a leading enabler of on-demand software for businesses, today announced the appointment of Martin Schuchman to Vice President of Software Engineering. He will lead the company’s solution development efforts, reporting to Alex Hawkinson, CEO of Apptix.

According to Apptix, Schuchman brings to Apptix more than 18 years of management and software development experience. Prior to joining Apptix, he was Senior Vice President - Operations Mid-Atlantic Region for Ness Technologies — a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner — based in Dulles, VA. At Ness Technologies he helped deliver solutions and services — including outsourcing, system integration, and custom application development — to Fortune 500 customers, including the world’s largest pharmaceutical company.

“The appointment of Martin Schuchman, a highly accomplished business and technology expert, will strengthen our efforts in developing new hosted solutions for our service provider partners and their customers,” said Hawkinson. “We are working with our service provider partners to add new hosted applications that will further improve a company’s ability to communicate, collaborate and manage their business.”

Before joining Ness Technologies, Schuchman was Director of Development for Network Associates, where he managed development and quality assurance teams for releases of the Help Desk Suite. He also was Director of Technical Services at Spectrum Technology Group in Tyson Corner, VA.
