Silver Spring, Maryland - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - July 10, 2007 - Web hosting provider and development company, Freewebs.com, has integrated with YouTube, RockYou, and Photobucket, among other solutions, in an effort to provide users with the ability to add content directly to websites.
Freewebs will share its API through agreements with YouTube, Widgetbox, RockYou!, Picnik, Photobucket and Gizmoz. The new partnership is designed so that Freewebs’ members can easily and seamlessly add videos, photos, widgets, avatars and more from any of these partner sites directly to their Freewebs accounts.
Shervin Pishevar, President of Freewebs commented, ”At Freewebs, we believe in an open web where people should be able to freely express themselves using the best available tools. No technology is one-size-fits-all, and it would be folly to contend that one company could possibly have the best technology in each category. What we are bringing to the Freewebs community today is freedom of choice, the freedom to express itself in any way and with a growing number of great companies.”
Lance Tokuda, CEO of RockYou added, ”RockYou is committed to providing our members with a simple and uncomplicated user experience. The Freewebs API makes it easy for RockYou visitors to publish and share their slideshows and widgets on their personal Freewebs webpage, rather than having to cut and paste code, giving them another way to distribute and create content on the fly.”
Mr. Pishevar continued, ”Where some portals and social networks see the internet as a series of walled gardens, Freewebs sees an ever-expanding universe of collaborative companies. Freewebs will continue to share its API with leading companies to bring further flexibility and functionality to the open Freewebs personal publishing platform. This is yet another step in our mission of breaking down the barriers to free expression and communication online.”
