The free hosting service, named ‘Aventure Free’ is available for the first 1000 applicants from the companies website, at which stage the service will then enter 30 days of beta testing before additional applications are accepted. The service features 2GB of diskspace, and 10GB monthly bandwidth.

Michael Kitchen, Business Development Manager at Aventure Host remarked, ”The launch of our free web hosting service will benefit open source developers, and the growing blog community without the unnecessary cost of paid web hosting, when these groups normally need very little features. Our new service is available to anyone, free of charge, allowing them to create their own website.

The company also announced the launch of new standard account features on paid hosting accounts including a free domain name, unbranded SSL account, FTP backup account, and free web builder account. Other additional services have been added to reseller and dedicated packages, including a UK follow-me telephone number, search engine submission, branded merchandise, Client Exec licenses, and dedicated IP addresses.

According to the company, the new features have already been available to around 3000 of their most recent customers during an extensive trial to monitor feature stability, value for money and financial viability.
