Mechanicsville, Virginia - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - December 12, 2006 - Shared web hosting provider, GlobalWebBrands, has launched a free web hosting service, accesible through a user’s own domain name, or through a FreewayWebhost subdomain.

The new service from GlobalWebBrands is subsidized through the appearance of text and banner advertisements on users’ websites. If a user does not wish to have ads on his or her site, he or she may opt to purchase a Pro hosting package.

Daniel Briere, CEO of GlobalWebBrands remarked, ”One thing that sets our new hosting service apart from other players, is that we have the ability to host our user’s domain names. Many free hosts just give a subdirectory or subdomain of the host’s own domain. However, we wanted to offer a truly useful service.”

Users may register their domains through FreewayWebhost, or use a domain they have previously registered. The company’s subdomain hosting service does not require users to have their own domain.

GlobalWebBrands previously operated a free hosting service, Q151, earlier this year, but was forced to shut the service down after numerous hacker attacks.

Mr. Briere continued, ”This time around, we’ve ensured that our service is built from the ground up with rock-solid security. We also plan to be more vigilant than we were in the past with the administration of this new free service.”

GlobalWebBrands is an international web hosting company based in Virginia, USA. Named a Top 10 Fastest Growing Web host in June 2006 by HostReview.com, GlobalWebBrands offers web hosting packages centered around the needs of small businesses.
