West Chester, Ohio - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - November 3, 2008 - Web hosting industry resource, iNET Interactive, has acquired WebHostingTalk Australia, a leading online community in the region. The acquisition is anticipated to benefit the membership and advertisers in Australia’s largest web hosting community.

As a leading online community focused on web hosting for the Australian marketplace, the acquisition of WebHostingTalk Australia enables iNET Interactive to reduce confusion in the marketplace around the Web Hosting Talk brand, while building a bridge between WebHostingTalk.com and the region-specific Web Hosting Talk Australia.

Troy Augustine, President and CEO of iNET Interactive noted, ”We are pleased that we were able to make WebHostingTalk Australia part of the iNET Interactive network of online communities. The acquisition reduces brand confusion in the marketplace, but it also adds a growing, well-moderated web hosting community to our network.”

As part of the iNET Interactive network, WebHostingTalk Australia will be migrated to iNET’s technology platform. While sharing many of the same technologies and design elements as WebHostingTalk.com, WebHostingTalk Australia will maintain its unique identity as it continues to serve the specific needs of the web hosting industry in Australia and the Pacific Rim.

The more than 5,000 members of WebHostingTalk Australia will benefit from new site functionality provided as a result of iNET Interactive’s expertise in online communities. The current WebHostingTalk Australia advertisers will benefit from the increased reach into Australian audiences across the iNET Interactive network.

Gary Meadows, the lead moderator at WebHostingTalk Australia, and his moderation team will continue in their current roles. Mr. Meadows explained, ”iNET Interactive has gained recognition as a company committed to building online communities with the same passion and commitment as their original founders. We are excited to become part of iNET Interactive as we take WebHostingTalk Australia to the next level.”

In August, iNet acquired the largest and fastest growing print publication serving the Search Marketing industry, Search Marketing Standard. The acquisition also includes associated web properties, SearchMarketingStandard.com, PayPerClickUniverse.com and SEMCompare.com. Launched in early 2006, with the goal to provide readers with practical, relevant and easy-to-understand Internet Marketing information, Search Marketing Standard magazine has grown from a newcomer in the field to an authoritative resource used by over 50,000 search engine advertisers and Internet marketers. Search Marketing Standard’s websites incorporate user-contributed ratings, reviews, and discussion along with professionally-produced, instructional content focused on helping businesses succeed within the rapidly growing field of search and Internet marketing.

Founded in 2002, iNET Interactive operates some of the most prominent online communities, including Web Hosting Talk and HotScripts.com, designed for technology professionals and technology enthusiasts. Its vertically-focused communities incorporate user-contributed ratings, reviews, and discussion augmented with professionally-produced content.

Launched in 2002, WebHostingTalk Australia is the largest online community focused on web hosting and hosted services within the Australian marketplace.
