110 Media Group today announced the acquisition of one of the Internet’s largest “free hosting” companies, Web1000.

Web1000 gained popularity by being the only free U.S. English language web host that offers free hosting with no ads to interfere with how the web sites look. No banners, no pop-ups.

The Web1000 network of sites is visited by hundreds of thousands of people every day and the network generates large volumes of redirected traffic that 110 Media Group will be able to direct to various web based properties both owned by 110 and that 110 has agreements with. “The sheer volume of traffic we will have at our disposal creates a multitude of revenue opportunities for us,” commented Mark Tiarra, 110’s COO. “Web 1000 was already doing quite well on it’s own and the synergy between their network and our product line is going to bring 110 to a new level of online business with potential for massive revenue growth.”
