Anyone may register any national trademark as a .mobi domain, if the trademark was filed before July 11, 2005 and is actively registered.

The trademark sunrise period gives trademark holders the opportunity to register their trademarks in the .mobi domain before the general registration, when the registry will be open to anyone.
