Dallas, Texas - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - September 29, 2008 - Yahoo!’s search engine, has become A T and T Inc.’s default on its cell phones, as the first U.S. carrier to do so. Yahoo will also be providing the advertising that appears along with search results.

Yahoo’s oneSearch replaces a search function from privately held Motricity Inc. on AT and T’s MEdia Net cell phone portal, which is used on most of its Web-enabled phones, but not the iPhone.

The companies first announced a partnership in January. Yahoo already has 60 partnerships with overseas carriers to feature oneSearch. For example, it is the exclusive mobile search provider in Europe for T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom AG’s mobile arm.
